Canberra’s Chill Crops: Study Shows Locals Prefer Easygoing, Low-Potency Cannabis
A new study suggests the ACT’s cannabis laws are largely doing what they were meant to. Researchers from the Lambert Initiative for Cannabinoid Therapeutics found that most cannabis samples tested had relatively low levels of THC—the compound responsible for the high—indicating a preference for milder strains. The study also highlighted a growing grassroots culture around home cultivation and cannabis sharing, even though exchanging seeds and buds still falls outside the legal lines.
