Large-Scale Illegal Grow Operation Busted in South Australia

A 25-year-old man has been charged after police uncovered several cannabis grow houses across Adelaide’s west.

Detectives searched six properties in Woodville South, Seaton, Flinders Park, West Croydon, and Ridleyton on May 27 and 28. In total, they found 304 cannabis plants, 30 kilograms of dried weed, a traffickable amount of cocaine, and a range of growing equipment.

Police also discovered that five of the properties were illegally diverting electricity.

The man now faces multiple charges, including six counts of cultivating cannabis, drug trafficking, and five counts of electricity diversion.
